This interdisciplinary course explores innovative European approaches to achieving pollution-free soils that sustain food security and protect human health. It integrates environmental science, ecology, and public health through four key themes: (i) the impact of soil contaminants and cutting-edge ecological strategies for their remediation; (ii) the challenge of antimicrobial resistance driven by both natural and human factors, with a focus on ecological solutions; (iii) the toxicological effects of environmental contaminants on the human body and green methods for their mitigation; and (iv) the importance of healthy nutrition and the use of safe, scientifically approved dietary supplements to promote overall well-being.
